My journey to becoming a doula began as I walked through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with several close friends. I saw that they needed not only consistent and encouraging emotional support, but also reliable resources. Following this experience, I decided to pursue doula training through DONA International in March of 2012. I absolutely love being a doula and consider it a great honor to partner with families as they experience the blessings and encounter the challenges of a growing family. I am passionate about supporting women as they achieve the empowering birth experience they want. I enjoy getting to know clients and their families, always aiming to provide the specific support they need. I benefited from the invaluable support of a doula during all three my labors and recognize the needs of a laboring mom are ever changing.  

I grew up in Orlando, FL and graduated from the University of Florida (go Gators!) in 2009 with a degree in Family, Youth and Community Sciences. I’ve always enjoyed learning about and working with families. I am a mother of three and experienced three very different births with each of my children. My husband and I began our journey into parenthood in the UK, where pregnancy and birth culture differs from approaches in the US. The experience of giving birth myself, and supporting births as a doula in the UK, has provided me a unique set of skills and experiences. I’ve supported births in homes, birth centers and hospitals, and while every birth is different and every laboring mother is different, the sense of joy I experience as a doula remains the same!
